Duties and Responsibilities: Healthcare administrators are leaders that head up
various types of healthcare organizations. Also known as health services
managers or hospital administrators, healthcare administrators are responsible
for all aspects of healthcare, including the facilities, services and programs,
staff, budgets, relations with other organizations and other management
functions. Their role depends largely on the size and type of the healthcare
organization.
Salary: $101,340
Education: Many higher-level health care administration executives
have a master's degree in a field such as public health or business, hospital
or nursing administration. A bachelor's degree is often sufficient for
entry-level positions, or for employment with smaller facilities when coupled
with relevant health care experience
